PHILIPPINES: EL NIDO, PALAWAN: TOUR C
July 17, 2018The beach culture of Palawan has never disappointed anyone. From its unique rock formations to its bluest beaches and lagoons, all of the people who will visit there will truly be satisfied.
There are so much more to do in El Nido, like joining the Tour C. In this tour you’ll visit the famous islands of Dilumacad and Matinloc where the “Bourne Legacy” was filmed.
First and foremost, we booked our tour from KLOOK because they offer the lowest and cheapest price than the other travel agencies around El Nido.
We had our first stop in Helicopter Island which coined its name for its unique rock formations that give the appearance of a helicopter from afar.
We enjoyed snorkeling around the island and stayed for about 30 minutes. You’re not going to enjoy if you don’t have snorkeling gears with you so you should bring yours or you can rent it before doing the tour.
Then we went to Secret Beach that’s not a secret anymore. We neet to get off the boat and jump into the water to go closer to the entrance where you have to swim going inside under the small whole within the cliff.
After that, we headed to the Hidden Beach where we also need to jump into the water. After few minutes of swimming going to the shallow water, we found the hidden beach hiding behind the gigantic cliffs.
It is beautifully untouched and its sand is as fine as the flour. We have seen a small cave where some people entered but we didn’t give it a try.
Everyone is hungry so we headed directly to Talisay Beach. The guide and boatmen helped each other to set everything up for our lunch. They gave us 15 minutes to settle and unwind. Then lunch was served! We had grilled tuna, pork and chicken barbecue, eggplants and various kinds of fruits.
For our last stop, we went to Matinloc Shrine also known as the Shrine of Our Lady of Matinloc and Shrine of the Blessed Virgin. Found in the hidden lush forest island, a sacred monument built in 1982 to honor the blessed virgin Mary.
We didn’t go through this island so we opted to do snorkeling and swam with the fishes beneath the water. You’ll pay another 100Php entrance fee to go inside and have a picture on the top of the cliff to see the whole island.
In this tour, I enjoyed snorkeling and see many kinds of fishes though I can see them whenever I do snorkeling, I am still overwhelmed by them. They are filling the underwater world with colors and life.
