Moalboal--taking its popularity nowadays for the tourists. The sea around Moalboal is like an aquamarine stone. It shines when directly hit by the sunlight. At night you can hear the squabbling waves rushing towards the shoreline and feel the wind whispering to your ears saying goodnight. In the morning, you can feel that you're being pulled by the mermaids to join them swimming across the shore. Can you now imagine how Moalboal looks like? Moalboal's pride is their fascinating marine life which made them famous for divers and snorkelers who loves exploring the life under the sea. Especially if you are staying in Panagsama Beach, where sardines run is so accessible. 


But me and my friends opted to stay overnight at Basdaku, which is famous for its long stretch of white sandy beach area. You can rent a tent overnight as I heard that as of this year they won't allow to bring and assemble your own tent in the area because some people are leaving their traces or garbages by digging and putting it under the sand (sad).

Do you like something spicy to spice up your life? Do you love eating different flavors of spices? Do you wanna try to fill up you stomach with best spicy foods? Well, I am talking about Thai cuisine. Me, myself is not fond of eating too colorful dishes. Do you wanna hear something about the Thai cuisine? So sit back and grab something to drink as I make you salivate with the mouth watering dishes in Thailand.

Never did I wonder that Thai cuisine will be the spiciest food I am going to taste. I thought I am over with it when I first tried the Korea's famous Samyang spicy noodles. My perception was changed when my significant other brought me to a place like the "carenderia" in Philippines. There we ate the famous Tom Yum soup.

I was surprised when it came infront of me. It looks extremely hot with the strong aroma of spices I don't know. I was afraid to taste it at first but I was so curious about the taste because of the many people ordering and enjoy it as their meal. I knew it! That was distinctly hot and sour. The soup or its broth is made of fresh information such as lemongrass, kaffir lime leaves, galangal, lime juice, fish sauce and chili peppers. Would you still try it?


I know most of you tried to eat Pad Thai. Pad thai is a stir-fried noodle dish. It is a famous street food in Thailand and not only the locals are enjoying it but also the foreigners. In Philippines, there are a lot of food stalls or Thai restaurants that are never run out of Pad Thai.

Pad Thai is composed of soaked rice noodles which are stir fried with eggs and crushed tofu. Tamarind pulp, fish sauce, dried shrimps, garlic, red chili pepper and palm sugar are added to complete the flavor of Pad Thai. You can also add some toppings like chicken, fresh shrimp, squid or crab depending on your taste.

Let's move on to their bizarre foods. I am talking about exotic street food that nowadays takes place especially from bloggers or tourists who are traveling in Thailand mainly became an instant food porn by the netizens.




These carts are mostly seen whenever you visit Khaosan Rd. The big plates were filled of unlikely exotic foods that is hard to swallow at first. YES! At first! Once you tried one, you'll find that they actually make decent finger food. YUMMERS!!!


You can pick any of them at your own risk. They sell a variety of insects like Hon Mhai(silk worms), Mang Da(water bugs), Rod Duan(bamboo worms), Takatan(grasshopper) also includes Scorpions and many to mention.
When I went to Amphawa Floating market, it was not an ordinary floating market you can see in that place. There were a lot of restaurants that serves various of seafoods around the river. From spicy fried crabs, shrimps, squids, etc. to breads, cakes and other desserts. You will never be hungry while seeing the fishermen rowing their boats.

Even their modern cafe's including starbucks has Bánh mì written on their menu. For only 25,000 dong(normal price), you can fill your stomach and have a kinda diet meal.

There will always be a place that makes you smile after reminiscing the experiences you had there. Sapa valley brought me to that feeling.

Sapa is one of the loveliest hill town in Vietnam located in Lao Cai Province. I may compare it with Ha Giang Province but there are some differences between the two. I visited Sapa during the winter season. I never thought I would experience that cold weather as I never expected that during my 22 years of existence in Philippines. Rainy seasons in Philippines are the coldest for me but staying in Vietnam for 2 weeks is never easy. Suffered from two-zero degree is never that easy. Chills at night as homestay places are not as covered as hotels. If you search deeper about Sapa, it is highly recommended for those who like trekking and adventure. Sapa's pride is their special and unique terrain.




I booked my trip to Sapa via Sinh Tourist which I first mentioned in my blog about Halong Bay. It was kinda expensive and the tour includes my accommodation and tour guide. The bus that took me to Sapa send me off the hotel where I am going to stay for one night. It was so gorgeous than I expected. Rooms are so elegant with bathrooms have hot showers. I never regretted paying that big amount at all.

Fresh from Cambodia, we took a 2 hour trip by plane going to Singapore. Changi Airport is one of the busiest and largest airports in Asia. It is also rated as the World's Best Airport for 5 consecutive years. Isn't it amazing? Who would have thought that you're inside an airport while seeing a garden, big hello kitty statue, numerous escalators, very wide and big shopping stalls for souvenirs and foodcourt. Well you can only find them whenever you fly to Singapore. 

As a foreigner, neither Phnom Penh nor Siem Reap is the best country or Cambodia as a country to live in. Staying for a couple of days in both cities never bothered me to crave or feel the want to stay their for more days. Being ripped off is not my choice but maybe next time I'll try to be wiser than them if ever I decide to go back.

I arrived at Phnom Penh late in the afternoon then I headed directly to the guesthouse where I am staying for 2 days. Yes! I only stayed in Phnom Penh for 2 days and that was totally a wrap and full of exciting experiences. My only mission in Phnom Penh is to discover its hidden tragedy; The sadness and tortures they suffered before. So the next day, I hopped on the bicycle I rented from a travel agency office near the Royal Palace Park.

I first went to Choeung Ek Genocidal Center that is almost 10 kilometres away from the Royal Palace park. Choeung Ek is a site known as The Killing Fields where the Khmer Rouge executed more than one million people between 1975 and 1979.


Most of them are politicians or former political prisoners who were kept by the Khmer Rouge in their Tuol Sleng detention center. But, now, Choeung Ek is a memorial, marked by a Buddhist stupa.




The stupa is protected by acrylic glass. It is filled with more than 5,000 human skulls. You can see the mark of how those people were being killed or which torture they suffered before they died. There's a legend on each side of the glass classified by colors determining how each one of them received the torture.

As I told you before on my first blog about Cambodia that one day is not enough to discover its gems (If you never happened to see my small tour blog you can read it on this site). So I was able to come up with a new trip not going to my hotel’s recommended big tour but I created my very own BIG tour. Big tour not because I went to big ruins but BIG tour because it needs to have a big patience and time before you arrive to see the ruins.

My service tuktuk arrived around 6:30am infront of my hotel. The first ruins that we are heading to is Banteay Srei. It is named after and dedicated to Shiva, the Hindu God.




This is the only temple in Angkor area that is not created by a King or a monarchy. This was the most gorgeous ruins that I saw because of its noticeable red sandstone carvings. This made the temple popular and it is also known for the beauty of its sandstone lintels and pediments.

Camera and smartphone are not so essential because I believe that memories are best captured by the brain.

Entrance fee will cost you 150Php and you can enjoy the place. They also have cafeteria inside to sell you drinks, foods and other necessities. You can avail the paddle board, picnic huts, tables and chairs on the site. If you like to have a picnic style getaway, you can bring your own mats/blanket. Angkor is considered as one of the most beautiful and important archaeological sites in South-East Asia. Measures over 400 sq. km., including its forested area.

The hotel where I stayed offered me a tour upon checking in as I haven't planned my tour in Cambodia. I asked some questions about the tour and decided to go on the small tour (you can choose small or big tour). For small tour you can go to the famous heritage sites that surrounds Angkor.

The name “Suoi Tien” (Fairy Stream) derived from a story about 7 sacred girls died and became fairies in this land. Later the land was turned into a forestry farm before being developed into what we see today – the biggest cultural theme park of Ho Chi Minh. 

HaLong bay is a popular travel destination in Quang Ninh Province, Vietnam. Administratively, the bay belongs to Ha Long City, Cam Pha town, and is a part of Van Don District. The bay features thousands of limestone karsts and isles in various shapes and sizes. 





This extraordinary area was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1994. For many tourists, this place is like something right out of a movie. The fact is that Halong Bay features a wide range of biodiversity, while the surrealistic scenery has indeed featured in endless movies.



My visit in Vietnam wouldn’t be complete without having a glimpse of it’s famous Halong Bay so I booked a one-day tour going there. I went directly to the office of Sinh Tourist (travel agency) which was the most famous in Vietnam.

They picked us up infront of our hotel around 7:50AM as what they promised. We get on the bus together with some tourists. After they picked up all the tourists that booked the trip, the guide started her self introduction and keep on explaining about our itineraries for our tour.

During our trip, we stopped by a building to do some toilet routine and there we saw a department store and a small supermarket. After that we get on the bus again.
